Eliminate SES lights caused by overboost while maintaining full boost and fuel delivery with the DieselSite BRV+ Boost Relief Valve. Designed specifically for modified or “chipped” 7.3L Powerstroke trucks, this valve protects the MAP sensor from excessive pressure without limiting actual engine boost.

⚙️ How It Works:

On modified trucks, the PCM will trigger an SES light and reduce fuel delivery when it detects overboost at the MAP sensor. The BRV+ vents excess pressure before it reaches the MAP sensor, allowing the engine to continue receiving full boost while keeping the PCM satisfied.

  • Installs inline on the MAP sensor hose

  • Located on the passenger side, running over the intercooler tube behind the oil fill

  • Arrow must point toward the MAP sensor

  • Ports come pre-plugged if not using boost gauges

📊 Boost Gauge Ports (BRV+):

  • Two 1/8″ NPT ports included

  • Allows you to monitor:

    • Actual boost

    • MAP sensor boost

  • Ports are plugged from the factory

  • Boost gauges typically include fittings, otherwise use:

    • 1/8″ NPT x 1/8″ compression fitting

🛠️ Maintenance Notes:

  • Valve is mechanical and extremely reliable

  • If sticking occurs after long storage, apply light lubricant (WD-40 or similar)

  • Pull the ring a few times to free movement

  • Occasional lubrication (about once per year) is recommended

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • SES lights are not always caused by overboost

  • Always scan and verify fault codes

  • There is no code labeled “overboost”

  • If installed correctly and not sticking, the BRV+ cannot fail to prevent overboost defueling
